Skills & Scrimmages

DTS Skills and Scrimmages class will focus on the training of a player’s fundamental skills. Significant work will also be done on small sided games and scrimmages.  Players will work on the technical elements of the game such as their first touch, dribbling, individual skills and moves, passing and shooting.

Players will be separated into smaller groups during technical training. By working in small groups this brings the individual into focus, increases the intensity of training, and enables more individual feedback for each player.

Half of each class will focus on scrimmages and game situations in addition to 4v4 and 3v3 drills. During the scrimmages the coaches will break down play to help players work and better understand what was instructed during their class session.

This class is for players ages 7 – 12 years old.

Class Prerequisites: 

Your player is 7-12 years old and is interested in soccer & wants to develop new soccer skills & play REAL Games. This is the perfect introduction to skills training and gameplay for a beginner or recreational player.

Benchmarks to Advance:

• Player is actively involved in gameplay on both sides of the ball and has a general understanding of how to play the game
• Player has improved their dribbling skills/touches and are ready to work on new moves/skills
• Player is adding more speed and pace when the ball is at their feet
