1v1 Offense & Defense

The 1v1 Offense & Defense class teaches players how to master every 1v1 situation in the game. This class simulates 1v1 situations with pressure from any possible direction and teaches players how to make the best decisions in each game situation.

This class is great for BOTH attacking and defensive players! The coaches explain each 1v1 situation from both sides of the ball and help improve both attackers as well as defenders making successful decisions in the game. By focusing on both the offensive as well as defensive skills players become multi-dimensional with an insight in how their opponents will react in any given game situation.

Class Prerequisites:

Players must be efficient in both defending and attacking in 1v1 situations, this means that players must have knowledge of individual moves and possess the ability to control the ball while taking on an opponent. 

Defensively this means that the player’s agility is strong and that the player has an understanding of how to minimize an opponent’s options in 1v1 situations.

Benchmarks to Advance:

Attacking

• The player has to be able to recognize a variety of 1v1 situations (back, side, front) and be decisive in when, which and where to execute their actions to beat the defender.
• The player has to be able to use a variety of skills to beat the opponent. 
• The player has to be able to deliver an end product after beating the opponent. This could be an acceleration, a pass, a shot etc. 

Defending

• The player has to be able to close down the space for the attacker to operate in.
• The player has to be able to force the attacker to slow down and guide him to a dribble to the outside. 
• The player has to be able to defend pro actively while using speed and physical contact in order to steal the ball away from the attacker.
