There are a lot of 1vs1 situations in a game and there are different factors that determine the outcome.
Those factors consist of:
- Skill (ball control)
- Determination
- Confidence
- Anticipation
These factors are the same for the player with the ball (offense) as the player without the ball (defense).

What is taught in this Class?
The 1vs1 class teaches both sides of the ball and is therefore a great class for all positions. Offensively players will be taught to beat a defender in a 1vs1 situation. As an attacker you will face a defender from multiple angles. In that situation you need to be comfortable to challenge the defending player with the ball and pass him. Defensively players will be instructed to contain a player, force a player to his/her weak foot and/or a natural boundary. Body balance is a key part in defending, players will be taught not to “lunge” in and over commit.
Who Should do this Class?
This class is for players in all positions as offense and defense is played all over the field. Due to the resistance players will face during the training sessions players have to have a good skill level and knowledge of moves to protect the ball and moves to beat an opponent.
Ages: 8-10 & 10-14
