The Cue Lab is a new elite-level program led by DTS & NJ Premier Coach Allan, designed to help players react faster, recognize space and make better decisions under pressure. Players must submit an application or receive a direct invitation to join.
Players will develop their scanning, awareness, focus and anticipation through a combination of visual match analysis and challenging on-field exercises. Each session demands a high level of technical ability and concentration as players read their surroundings, process visual and verbal cues, and make quick decisions while maintaining control of the ball.
From identifying passing options before receiving to reacting to changing situations during play, the focus is on connecting what players see with what they do. Players will learn to filter out distractions and stay focused in a demanding, competitive training environment.
What to Expect:
Scanning & Awareness: Recognize space, teammates and opponents before receiving the ball.
Reaction & Decision-Making: Respond quickly to visual and verbal cues while performing technical skills.
Focus & Anticipation: Read body movements, anticipate the next action and stay focused amid distractions.
Competitive Game Situations: Apply these skills through rondos, possession challenges and conditioned scrimmages.
Visual Match Analysis: Break down real match situations with Coach Allan to understand when, where and why to scan.
*Each 75-minute session progresses from visual match analysis and reaction exercises to technical challenges, competitive possession games and a conditioned scrimmage.
